The system shall be based on PC architecture, CPU Pentium IV family and Linux operating system. It shall integrate the functionality of stand alone and/or networked digital video/audio recorder, video switcher, motion detection, PTZ/Dome camera control, alarm management and video/audio transmission.
Compression
- Enhanced DELTA differential compression algorithm to provide maximum video compression and high quality video images transmission and recording with possibility to select between 3 different image resolutions and 5 different levels of image compression for each video input and a minimum compression ratio for complete image of 1:80 to 1:8 (from 8 to 80 Kbytes) plus further reduction (from 0 % to 99 %) proportional to variation between two successive images. Full image must be recorded at regular interval (10s) to resynchronize the recorded stream.
- Three level of sensibility to image differences (standard, high, and maximum/Delta disabled).Image resolution and quality.
- Selectable different image resolution individually for each video input between 640x512/480 (full frame),640x256/240 (half frame) or 320x256/240 (quarter frame) PAL/NTSC
- Selectable different image quality individually for each video input between: Very high, high, medium, low, very low
- Adjustable contrast, brightness and color saturation for the acquired image
